Bauchi Governor drums support from donor agencies, assures counterpart funding

Bauchi state Governor Bala Abdulkadir has solicited the support of donor agencies working in the state to support his administration in implementing socio-economic programs that will improve the welfare of the citizens of the state.

The Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed made the appeal Thursday during an interactive session with members of International Development Partners and Donor Agencies working in the state.

Speaking during the session at the Council Chamber, Government House Bauchi, Governor Bala Mohammed said the session was part of his administration’s efforts to ensure mutual working relationship between government and the Organizations.

The Governor said considering the contributions of Non Governmental Organizations in providing social services, the need for him to seek for their support became necessary, adding that it will help improve critical sectors of the state’s economy.

 Governor Bala Mohammed said working with International Organizations would be given the desired priority by the present administration in the state.

The Permanent Secretary of the State Budget and Planning Commission, Alhaji Yahuza Adamu who led members of the International Development Partners and Donor Agencies to the visit, applauded the governor for initiating the session.

Yahuza Adamu expressed optimism that the support sought by the governor from the development partners would no doubt address the challenges affecting sectors of the economy in Bauchi state.
