Bauchi Governor sets committee to investigate alleged contract scandals on Soro-Ganjuwa road

Bauchi state Governor, Bala Mohammed says he will constitute a high powered Committee to investigate the alleged contract scandals on the ongoing road construction at Soro in Ganjuwa Local Government Area of the state.

The Governor gave the indication when he received in audience, Executives and Stakeholders of People’s Democratic Party from the area at the Government House, Bauchi.

The Governor who was responding to the alleged mismanagement of resources in the road construction, said the committee would among others be mandated to look into the matter.

He assured them that the present administration would award a contract for the construction of roads from Soro to Gungura all in Ganjuwa Local Government Area to improve the socioeconomic status of the communities.

Governor Bala Mohammed also challenged Alhaji Sabi’u Baba, Secretary to the State Government who hails from the LGA to justify the confidence reposed in him.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Senator Bala Adamu Kariya said the visit was to appreciate the governor for appointing Alhaji Sabi’u Baba an indigene of the area as Secretary to the State Government.

Senator Kariya assured the governor that members of the delegation would give the required support and cooperation to the new SSG in order to enable him succeed.
