Bauchi Gov’s Polling Unit Records Impressive Turnout

As the governorship and state assembly elections began in Bauchi State, there was a significant increase in voter turnout in the Alkaleri local government area.

This LGA is the hometown of the current Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed.

Reports from Alkaleri town indicate that voters started queuing as early as 7am.

The voting process was seamless, and voters spent an average of 30 minutes casting their votes.

According to Bala Mahmoud, the Chairman of Alkaleri local government, the voter turnout in all the locations he visited was impressive, and the elections were peaceful.

He also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the proper functioning of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), as there were no reported cases of device malfunction
