Bauchi govt commends FG for providing agric input

The Bauchi state government has commended the Federal government for providing the state with Agricultural inputs through the Federal Department of Veterinary and Pest Control under the REDISSE Project of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The Commissioner, Bauchi state ministry of agriculture and rural development, Pharmacist Samaila Adamu Burga gave the commendation recently after inspecting the delivered items at the Ran-Road vetenary clinic store in Bauchi.

Pharmacist Burga explained that the gesture was part of the promise made to the state by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Alhaji Nanono when he visited the state few months ago to see for himself the abundance arable land at Galanbi Range capable of accommodating all kinds of farming production.

According to the commissioner, the Minister who was received at the Galambi Range by the Deputy Governor of the state, Senetor Baba Tela, expressed satisfaction and appreciation on the state’s efforts in encouraging and providing timely farming facilities to the people of the state.

As according to him, it will help to boost modern agriculture in line with global best practice in the state.

The Commissioner said having convinced by the Agricultural policy of the state under the good leadership of Senator Bala Mohammad, the Minister promised to assist the state in ensuring full emplementation of its Agricultural policy in the best interest of the good people of Bauchi state as dividends of democracy.

The pharmacist turned Agriculturalist, said  “the items we received from the Federal department of vetenary and pest control of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural development is in fulfilment of its promise to assist the state. 

The commissioner said the items include 4 tricycles, 3 Motorcycles, 4 Motorized sprayers, 13  sets of Security kiths, 50 liters of virocid discifate and 54 Septol.

He said the assistance was made for the purpose of  veterinary disease surveillance and response.
