One hundred youth in Bauchi State have benefited from a two-day Training and Empowerment programme on modern farming techniques, organized by the member representing Bauchi constituency in the House of Representatives Yakubu Shehu Abdullahi .
The participants were trained in fishery, poultry and other modern farming methods with a view to making them self-reliant.
The training was conducted by specialists from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Speaking at the commencement of the training, the lawmaker Alhaji Yakubu Shehu called on the beneficiaries to utilise the knowledge acquired for the benefit of their families and the state in general.
He promised to facilitate more development programmes aimed at uplifting people of Bauchi state.
Some of the beneficiaries interviewed expressed appreciation to the member and urged him to maintain the spirit.
