Gabarin said President Muhammadu Buhari kick-started the exercise on June 12, 2019 in Abuja, during which he issued a six-month grace for migrants to regularise their status in the country.

“The exercise will add value to Nigeria’s security architecture, and the bio-metric data of the migrants will be centrally stored in an easily retrievable system within the security circles,” he said.
