The students of Aliko Dangote College of Nursing and Midwifery Bauchi were allegedly lulled by some of their teachers to protest the reappointment of Hajiya Rakiya Saleh as the Acting Provost of the college few days after the expiration of her tenure.
WikkiTimes learned that Hajiya Rakiya had handed over the affairs of her office to the Deputy Provost of the College when her first tenure ended on 6th July 2022.
However, students of the college were asked to come out in protest to the reappointment of the Provost in an acting capacity allegedly by some of their lectures antagonising the ways of Hajiya Rakiya.
An ND II Nursing student of the college who spoke to our reporter on the condition of anonymity said they were receiving lectures when they suddenly asked to take the gate of the school with placards already designed for them.

They said they don’t have anything to do with the reappointment of Hajiya Rakiya as provost if Governor Bala Mohammed so pleases. “That’s the problem of the management of the college or union of the staff, not us,” a protesting student said.
The Chief Security Officer of the College, Hamza Abubakar said normalcy has returned to the school while the students were sent back t their classes.
He said there is no vandalisation of properties in the school as security operatives did well to control the students.
