Bauchi Okays Recruitment of 1000 Teachers to Tackle Dearth of Teachers

In a move to address the dearth of competent teachers in public schools, Bauchi State Government has approved the immediate employment of 1,000 teachers to fill the gap.

The state government said teachers to be recruited would cover core subjects such as English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Checks by WikkiTimes revealed that over the last nine years, no major recruitment of teachers was done by successive administrations in Bauchi. However, continues retirement and death among existing teachers further depleted the number of teachers available to teach in schools across the state.
