Bauchi PDP Promises To End Salary Problems Soon

Alhaji Yayanuwa Zainabari the Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State has said that all salary problems in the state would be addressed soon.

In a press statement made available to journalists in Bauchi, the party said it is concerned about claims that despite various committees set up by Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir to end the problem, some civil servants and pensioners were not getting their salaries.

Zainabari however admonished politicians and opposition parties to desist from politicizing the issue of the salary stressing that, “Any worker who has a genuine issue that he didn’t receive his salary, he should come forward with his documents to the PDP officials nearest to him they will lead him to collect his salary.”

The Publicity Secretary noted that the lingering issue of salary was inherited from the previous administration and the present administration demonstrated genuine commitment in solving the problem once and for all.

He alleged that as the state government is fighting for the judicious payment of the salaries, some workers and politicians are sabotaging the government efforts.

Zainabari added that PDP will ensure that no civil servant or pensioner goes home at the end of the month without his or her salary.

However, the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state berated the PDP’s statement, urged the state government to hasten and pay workers their outstanding salaries.
