Bauchi PDP To Hold Fresh Gov’ship Primaries Tomorrow After Kashim’s Withdrawal

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Bauchi State has slated its second governorship primaries in less than 10 days for tomorrow Saturday following the withdrawal of the governorship candidacy of  Barrister Ibrahim Kashim, WikkiTimes can report.

Barrister Kashim quits a few days after he was elected as the flagbearer of the party at the first governorship primaries conducted about one week ago.

His withdrawal came on the heel of Bala Mohammed’s defeat at the 2023 PDP presidential primaries in Abuja.

WikkiTimes had reported that Barrister Kashim is only holding the 2023 Bauchi PDP governorship ticket as Bala’s surrogate. The arrangement was designed to allow Bala to reclaim his ticket if he failed to win the party’s presidential ticket.

However, the governor’s name appeared on the ballot paper of the first governorship primaries of the party. “It was an error,” Bauchi State PDP Chairman, Hamza Koshe Akuyam said.
