The police command in Bauchi state have finally arrested the suspected mastermind of the recent birthday party which turned violent, resulting in the killing of 3 people and injuring about 20 others.
He is a 26yr old Patrick Zumunta alias (Dady Badiko) who reportedly organized the birthday party.
The crisis which occurred on 17/11/2018 at Yelwa Tsakani , following a fight between two rival groups of youth at the party over a girlfriend, led to the destruction of two (2) houses and a car in the area.
Announcing the arrest in Bauchi, the Police command’s Public Relations Officer DSP Kamal Datti Abubakar said after the incident the suspect ran away to Jos to avoid arrest.
Datti however said following credible intelligence, on Monday 26/11/2018, operatives attached to State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) of the Command intercepted and arrested the Suspect on his way from Jos to Bauchi.
According to him, the suspect is currently being investigated at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) after which he will be charged to court.
