A politician in Bauchi state, Alhaji Uba Boris has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen late Wednesday evening.
The politician who was kidnapped by gunmen who were reportedly trailing him around CBN roundabout was a former Senior Special Assistant, youth mobilization during Governor Isa Yuguda-led administration.
WikkiTimes gathered that the kidnappers had trailed him on two power bikes while he was driving towards the CBN roundabout in the metropolis where his car was stopped at gunpoint.
The kidnappers who opened fire to scare people immediately bundled the politician into a waiting car and zoomed off.
An eyewitness added that at first the kidnappers drove along Nassarawa street but made a U-turn after sighting a Police patrol van ahead and then sped along the Federal Lowcost road.
But another eyewitness said that he was at a car dealer stand with his friends for the evening Muslim prayers when the gunmen attacked, shooting sporadically before seizing and bundling him inside awaiting.
Uba Boris also served as the Director of Yuguda Vocational Center where youths were trained on various skills acquisitions.
The State Police Public Relations Officer SP Ahmed Wakil has not responded to the request for comments as of the time of filing this report.
