A Member representing Darazo/Ganjuwa federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Honourable Mansur Manu Soro has empowered his constituents with motorcycles, grinding machines, 100 solar inverters, 100 generators and 100 vulcanizing machines on Friday.
Speaking during the disbursement, Hon Soro said the second phase of the empowerment scheme is an offshoot of the first programme where cars were distributed to his loyal supporters.
Represented by his Legislative Aide, Hon. Sa’idu Isah Abdu, the lawmaker explained that the disbursement was in fulfillment of his campaign promises of empowering youth and women in the Constituency to become self-reliant.
Honourable Soro who pledged to bring unprecedented dividends of democracy to the people of Darazo and Ganjuwa, said his constituents are benefitting from many of the projects he personally executed such as water projects, healthcare facilities and educational interventions.
He urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the items by engaging in economic activities that will generate revenue for them and their communities, promising that more of such disbursements will follow.
Also Speaking the Chairman Darazo Local Government Chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Alhaji Maichibi Adamu, commended Hon. Soro for the gesture which he said has never been witnessed in the constituency since the return of democracy.
“Our Reps, Mansur is the youngest member in the House of Representatives but he is the biggest in terms of work and development initiatives to his people. “We are proud of him and we are confident that with these achievements, he will win second term without hitches”, the Chairman said
One of the beneficiaries of the empowerment scheme who got a generator, Malam Marwan Hussaini Miya thanked Hon Soro for many empowerment packages extended to them which he said will help them become self reliant and contribute to the nation’s economy.
“You see, I operate a commercial phone charge centre in my town and I use a small faulty generator, with this generator given to me by Hon Mansur, I will expand my business”, Marwan said.
