The Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Babayo Mohammed Akuyam and his Ahmed Abdullahi have resigned from their positions.

Speaker who is also the member representing Hardawa Constituency and the deputy Ahmed Abdullahi from Dass constituency in the state Assembly, officially announced their resignation during plenary.
The out gone speaker and his deputy while announcing their resignation said the move is part of the agreement reached by the lawmakers to step down to Abubakar Sulaimen Jamilu Darihu.
They appreciated their colleagues and other staff of the assembly for the support and cooperation given to them during their stewardship.
