Bauchi State Unveils Vocational Centre, To Train Commercial Sex Workers

Bauchi State government has unveiled a vocational center for the training of commercial sex workers to engage them into virtuous enterprises in the society.

Barr. Aminu Balarabe Isah the Chief Officer of the Bauchi State Hisbah Command, stated this in a ceremony for the unveiling of a special vocational training aimed at transforming the commercial sex workers into decent citizens of the society.

He noted that the State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed has expressed dismay over the unscrupulous activities perpetrated by the sex workers and their clients, which he said is characterized by lawlessness due to the influx of criminals in the state.

Barr. Balarabe noted that the command is therefore given a mandate of ensuring that communities are free of unknown persons who may endanger the security in the state, adding that the state government is committed to enrolling them for marriages after the training.
