Safiyanu Adamu, a student of Bio Chemistry department at Bauchi State University Gadau, was allegedly macheted by some political thugs popularly known as Sara-suka who are notorious for phone snatching and other vices.
Pictures obtained by WikkiTimes showed that the student was deeply matched on his right-hand wrist.

Speaking on a hospital bed at Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Azare, Safiyanu said he had an altercation with the hoodlums while playing a football match between Green White Green House and GT House. The faceoff, he said, led to a physical combat between them.
Safiyanu further stated that one Lado led the macheting. He said Lado went inside the house and returned with two knives which he used on him.
Some of the students who spoke to newsmen alleged that the issue of thuggery, phone snatching and other crimes have increased in Gadau town following the conclusion of the 2023 General elections.

However, Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, spokesman for Bauchi Police Command, in a statement on Tuesday revealed that one Sulaiman Samalia was arrested in connection to the crime.
He said the suspect would be charged to court for prosecution.
