Bauchi students hail Buhari for reinstating Bogoro as Tetfund boss

The National Union of Bauchi State Students (NUBASS) has applauded the President Muhammadu Buhari for reinstating Professor Suleiman Bogoro as Executive Secretary of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (Tetfund) saying the reappointment exonerated Bogoro from the allegations that led to his sack in 2016.

Speaking with newsmen over the weekend during a rally in Bauchi in solidarity with the Tetfund boss who hails from the state, the NUBASS national President Comrade Ibrahim Hashim Abdullahi opined that with Bogoro at the helm of affairs in Tetfund, more intervention programs will be implemented to upgrade Nigerian tertiary institutions.

He noted that between 2014 to 2016 when professor Suleiman Bogoro headed the organization, over 10, 000 academic staff drawn from various higher institutions across the country were sponsored to undergo masters and PhDs programs, equipped schools laboratories and built structures in the 71 federal and states universities, 51 federal and state polytechnics and 61 federal and State Colleges of education across the nation.

It is worthy of mention gentlemen of the press, the role played by some stake holders to ensure that justice is done to our very erudite professor Suleiman E. Bogoro and his subsequent reinstatement particularly President Muhammadu Buhari, Barrister M. A Abubakar, Governor of Bauchi State, Education Minister Malam Adamu Adamu. We therefore remain joyful and grateful “.
