Bauchi SUBEB Empowers School Officers With, ICIT Skills, Tablets To Monitor Teachers’ Attendance

The Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB has trained about 246 Schools Support Officers in ICT to enable them to use technology to monitor the attendance of primary school teachers in the state.

WikkiTimes gathered that at the end of the training, each of the 246 School Officers went home with a tablet and an internet facility to support their work for greater efficiency.

The Director of Quality Assurance SUBEB Bauchi Malam Sirajo Sha’aibu announced this when he lead a team of monitoring evaluation on a working visit to selected training centers in Bauchi.

The Director said the training was sponsored by Better Education Service Delivery for All, BESDA with a view to digitalizing the education system, saying that participants were selected from nine local government areas of the state.

Mr. Shu’aibu said that digitalizing the educational sector will encourage and reduce hardship that the schools support officers and other teachers in an effort to make them redouble their educational activities.

He called on the participants to use the knowledge acquired during the two days of training for effective service delivery in the state and Nigeria.

Speaking, Mr. Modemo Victor from Universal Basic Education Commission, called on the state government and other stakeholders to continue to support and provide learning materials to various schools across the state for re-branding the educational sector in Bauchi State.

Some schools supervised are Nasarawa Primary, Garba Muhammad Noma Primary and Baba Sidi Primary School.
