Bauchi SUBEB Summons 57 Teachers Over Absenteeism

The Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has summoned 57 teachers from various Government Junior Secondary and Primary Schools for alleged absenteeism.

The affected teachers, according to Tribune are from Junior secondary schools in Miri, Gumli, Haka Yafi, Tsohon Kamfani, and Guru Junior Secondary School.

The concerned teachers were instructed to appear before the Board to account for their actions.

Alhaji Adamu Muhammad Duguri, SUBEB Executive Chairman expressed concern over teachers who consistently fail to report to work without legitimate reasons.

He emphasized that he is committed to reforming the education system, particularly at the foundational level.

Duguri reiterated that the Board will continue to monitor schools across the state to identify the root causes of absenteeism.

This, he believes, will lead to more effective interventions and ultimately enhance the learning environment for all students in the State.
