Bauchi To Benefit From World Bank’s $700m Environmental Fund 

Bauchi Bauchi State is to benefit from the $700,000,000 environmental sanitation and conservation project. 

Bauchi is due to benefit from the scheme along with 18 other Northern States. 

Commissioner of Environment and Housing, Hamisu Mu’azu Shira disclosed this to reporters in Bauchi during the official commissioning of the Bauchi State Environmental Protection Agency, BASEPA Mobile Court at the head office of the agency in Bauchi. 

The Commissioner said Bauchi State has fulfilled all the requirements of the funding and is expected to be among the states that will benefit from the first batch of the funding. 

He said the funding will be judiciously applied to ensure proper and adequate maintenance of the environment in Bauchi, especially sanitation and hygiene. 

Registrar CEO Environmental Health Officers Registration Council of Nigeria (EHORECON) Dr Yakubu Mohammed Baba commissioned the Mobile Court which he said is the first of its kind in Northern Nigeria.
