Bauchi Varsity Matriculates 6,000 Students, Begins Pharmacy Programme

Bauchi State University Gadau has matriculated over 6000 for the 2021/2022 academic session.

Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Auwalu Uba stated this on Monday during the matriculation ceremony of the University.

The Vice-Chancellor commended the students for choosing the University among other universities in the country, saying that it is a clear confirmation of the confidence that they have in the institution for its high moral standards and academic excellence.

Professor Auwalu Uba assured the newly matriculated students of the determination of the University to uphold, protect and ensure a peaceful and conducive environment for learning.

Professor Uba revealed that more than nineteen thousand applicants chose the University as their first choice, and only 3688 were successfully admitted into the various courses across the four campuses of the University.

He said that the University has succeeded in admitting students into the faculty of pharmaceutical sciences for the doctor of pharmacy program.

The Vice-Chancellor noted that the Matriculation exercise is important in the history of every tertiary institution, as it is a day set aside to consummate students to take the oath of allegiance to constituted authority and to commit themselves to peaceful living and coexistence as members of the University community.

He used the medium to remind the matriculated students of their obligations to maintain law and order, as the University takes it very seriously.

While calling on them to justify their selection out of many other applicants, Professor Uba expressed his hope that the students will allow the obligation to guide their conduct throughout their stay in the University.
