Bauchi State Area Unit of the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria, MSSN has emerged as the overall winner of English Debate at the Zonal Annual MSSN Quiz and Essay Competition which took place in Ilorin Kwara State.
Dr. Adamu Muhammad Hamid, Coordinator Quiz and Essay Competition Bauchi MSSN disclosed this in a phone interview with our reporter on Monday shortly after returning to Bauchi from Illorin.
He said that the participants from Bauchi State did well at the competition to defeat 19 other Northern States to emerge winners of English Debate.
The Coordinator stressed that the level of maturity, confidence and exposure exhibited by participants from Bauchi State is highly commendable.
Dr. Hamid further stated that Bauchi state became second in Arabi Impromptu and Arabic Essay Writing categories of the competition.
Similarly, the state became fouth in Quiz, English Reading, Spelling Bee and English Impromptu respectively.
It could be recalled that the Bauchi Area Unit of MSSN had conducted the same competition at state level in Jama’are to from where participants that represented the state at the zonal level of the competition were selected.
Having emerged the third overall winner among 19 Northern States including Abuja, Bauchi State MSSN Area Unit will be among states that will represent Northern Nigeria at the National level of the Competition.
