Amina Guguwa, a 50-year-old housewife in Miya Village, Warji Local Government Area of Bauchi State strangled her colleague to death after a physical confrontation on January 1, 2023.
Ahmed Wakil, Bauchi State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) disclosed this in a press statement issued to journalists on Friday. According to Wakil, the deceased, Amina Koli, died on the spot.

“Amina Guguwa, the suspect, criminally used force on the victim by strangling her neck tightly and as a result, she died on the spot,” Wakil stated. “On receiving the report, a team of detectives were drafted and rushed to the scene and they evacuated the victim to the General Hospital, Ganjuwa for a post-mortem examination, where she was certified dead by a medical doctor.”
According to Wakil, the command is investigating the matter, adding that the suspect would be charged to court for prosecution.
