The Benue State House Assembly said it has completed the screening of 17 commissioner nominations submitted by the state governor, Hycienth Alia.
The speaker of the Assembly, Aondona Dajo, addressed the members on Thursday during plenary and sought the confirmation of the nominees.
After the affirmation by the members, the speaker of the state assembly stated that all the nominees were confirmed.
Among the confirmed nominees are Joy Luga; Omale Omale; Yarmar Ortese; Pastor Frederick Ikyaan; Ogwu Odoh; Kwaghgba Amande; Mathew Abo; Itiza Imojime; Aondowase Kunde; Prof. Moses Ogbaji; Matthew Shaagee; Mike Ogblegba; Mrs Ann Itodo; Fidelis Mnyin; Ikyange Terkimbir; Nick Eworo and Awuna Orpiin.
The speaker also thanked the assembly members for their efforts especially for cutting short their recess in order to complete the important assignment.
He encouraged the nominees to see their appointments as a call to duty for humanity and give their best to help the governor to deliver on his campaign promises.
