The Court of Appeal sitting in Jos has upheld the victory of Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau state as the duly elected governor of the state.
The verdict delivered by a five-man panel of justices led by Justice J.O. Bada held that Lalong’s victory during the 2019 governorship polls was valid.
The appeal filed by Jeremiah Useni, the PDP governorship candidate in the February elections, was basically accusing Lalong of certificate falsification.
Reading out the judgement, the judge said that the appeal motion lacks reasons and is hereby dismissed.
