Gombe State house of assembly has today (Tuesday) impeached its deputy speaker Honourable Shuaibu Adamu representing Kwani gabas constituency.
A reliable source in the assembly who craved anonymity said the deputy speaker has been removed by 21 out of 24 members who signed the impeachment during the sitting.
He explained that the impeachment motion was moved by Honourable Adamu fata (APC) and seconded by Honourable Tulfukud M kardi (PDP).
The source added that another assembly member representing Kwani yamma constituency Honourable Siddi Buba has been elected as the new deputy speaker of the house.
Daylight Reporters gathered that the former deputy speaker has been impeached over allegations that he leaks house’ secret to the state Governor Inuwa Yahaya.
