Rays of hope for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a leading All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain vying for presidency as six other contenders stepped down for him in the ongoing primary elections at Eagle Square, Abuja.
Among those that had withdrawn from the race include, Ibikunle Amos, former Ogun State governor, Kayode Fayemi, the governor of Ekiti State, Dimeji Bankole, former speaker of house of representative during Olusegun Obasanjo administration and Godswill Akpabio, former governor of Akwa Ibom.
Others include, the governor of Jigawa State, Mohammed Badaru and senator Robert Ajayi Boroffice.
However, the likes of Yahaya Bello, the Kogi State governor, Yemi Osinbajo, Nigeria’s vice president and Ahmad Lawan, the country’s senate president are still in the race.
