Some minutes to becoming a bride, Juweriyah Adama (not real name), fled to an unknown location, leaving wedding guests and her family in distress. In an immediate makeup arrangement, her younger sister (name withheld) took her place.
The wedding, WikkiTimes learned, took place on May 13, 2022, in New Bussa, Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.
A local press in New Bussa, reported that after Juweriyah took to her heels, her friends disclosed to the aggrieved parents that she had informed them of her plan to escape the wedding ceremony. According to them, Juweriyah was not ready for the wedding and she might have gone somewhere to hide for a while.
It was gathered that the bride’s family summoned a closed-door meeting among themselves, prior to inviting the groom’s family. At the meeting, it was agreed that Juweriyah’s younger sister would fill in for her fugitive sister.

According to the local press, both families apologised with the invited guests and informed them that the wedding would continue, “not with the runaway bride, but with her younger sister.”
In a follow-up development, WikkiTimes learned that, the new bride is living happily with her husband, sources from her family revealed.
