BudgIT, a technology-based civic organization that intersects citizen engagement for societal change has announced that it would launch a public accountability mobile application named TrackaMoblie to bring government closer to the people.
The platform, on Saturday, tweeted that the plan was underway about a year ago. However, the app will be launching on November 15.

“The tool that brings governance closer to you will be launched in three days. Our team has been working tirelessly on this since 2021 and it’s finally here. On Tuesday, November 15, we will be launching our application – Tracka Mobile 2.0 Application,” the tweet read.
BudgIT provides simplified access to budgets and related public finance data, monitors project, promotes accountability and fiscal inclusion in the extractive industries, and supports willing government, media and civil society institutions.

It runs Tracka, a platform that traces the implementation of government projects in their community for service delivery in both urban and rural settlements through Projects Reporting, Follow-ups and Citizen Engagement.
Besides, BudgIT also runs Govspend, an accountability platform which has all contributed immensely in holding powers to account.
