Building collapses in Jos, kills 3

Three persons were reportedly killed and 3 more sustained injury following a collapsed building in Jos, the Plateau state capital.

The building collapses in the early hours of Monday at Anguwan Rogo, Jos North LGA of the state.

WikkiTimes gathered that the collapsed building was converted to a storey building contrary to its initial design as a flat house.

Mahmud Adamu, who leads a team of Red Cross rescuers at the incident, could not give details of his rescue operations.

But he confirmed rescuing three persons so far, two men and one woman, sustaining various degree of injuries and have so far been taken to the hospital.

The Police spokesperson, Plateau State Police Command, DSP Typev Terna, could not pick several calls put to his phone at the time of filling this report.

Our correspondent reports that Jos has witnessed several incidents of building collapse in recent times resulting to loss of lives and property.
