Card Reader accepts Dogara as he rejects low turn out of voters

Speaker House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara’s fingerprint has been accepted by the electronic Card Reader during the governorship and state Assembly elections.

WikkiTimes recalled that Dogara was rejected by the card reader during the Presidential elections.

Dogara, in company of his wife, Gimbiya Dogara arrived at Gwaranga Primary School, Bogoro polling unit at 11:38 am spotting a navy blue Kaftan with shoes and skull cap to match, cast his vote at 11:41 am amidst cheers from his supporters.

The Speaker however rejected the low turn out of voters, saying that ”voters are not happy that their votes did not count at the Presidential and National Assembly election”.

His wife, Gimbiya Dogara, was first to be accredited ,followed by the Speaker.

Speaking to reporters shortly after he voted, the Speaker hailed the peaceful conduct of the election in his ward.

“From the conduct of the election, I think, it is peaceful, but what I have seen here is that there is no mammoth crowd like the last election.I don’t know what happened and some of you who were here during the election saw the crowd, but I can’t see that kind of turn out here today.I don’t know what is responsible for that”.
