Client Test-running N55m Benz Vehicle in Abuja Zooms Off with It

Thursday afternoon, a car dealer, Mohammed Manga, was robbed of one of his vehicles — a Mercedes Benz GLB 250 — worth N55 million.

Mohammed raised the alarm via his business page on Twitter. “Client ran away with this car (MERCEDES BENZ GLB 250, 2021 Model) in Abuja from Test-Driving,” he tweeted. “Please keep an eye out for it, it could be found in your State(s) too. Please if you have any leads to help us recover, reach out asap.”

Manga told WikkiTimes that a friend of his who is also into the same business, came to show the car to his customer simply identified as Henry.

According to him, Henry requested a Mercedes Benz GLB 250 because he saw it on an online selling platform.

After negotiation and inspection of the car, Manga told WikkiTimes that Henry requested to test-run the vehicle.

Manga said his friend was with Henry while he was test-driving the vehicle, adding that things took another turn when his friend informed Henry that he wanted to withdraw money from a Point of Sale (POS) operator to purchase fuel for the vehicle at a filling station.

“Immediately my friend got down from the car, the client zoomed off to an unknown destination,” he said, adding he reported the case to the Anti-car theft unit of the FCT Police command.

Manga, however, urged WikkiTimes to spare his friend’s name from this story. According to him, his friend’s safety may be breached as police authorities in Abuja are making progress in tracking the car.

When contacted, spokesperson for the command, Josephine Adeh told WikkiTimes a report was lodged about the stolen car, adding efforts are being put in place to track down the car and the car thief.
