Completion of Jigawa Multipurpose Hall Gulped N200 Million – But it’s Leaking

No less than N200m was allocated to the Completion of the Multipurpose Hall at Jahun town, the headquarters of Jahun Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

The multimillion naira project was sponsored by Hon. Sa’idu Yusuf Miga, a member representing Jahun/Miga Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and was awarded to STEPHJACK GLOBAL INVESTMENT LTD as a contracting company in the 2023 federal government budget.

Tracka, an accountability platform owned by the Nigerian civic organisation that seeks citizen engagement in public institutions for societal change BudgIT, discovered that the project was poorly executed despite the huge amount allocated just to complete it.

According to the platform, only a few months after its completion, the roof started leaking while the painting was peeling off.
