COVID-19: Plateau first index case tests negative twice, discharged

The Plateau state government has announced that the first index case for COVID-19 in the state has been tested negative and subsequently discharged.

The Director of Press and Public Relations to the Plateau state government, Dr Makut Simon Macham made this known via his facebook page on Friday.

“Government is happy to announce that the COVID-19 first index case in Plateau State has tested negative twice after treatment and is fit for discharge”, the statement said.

“Kudos to the Plateau state COVID-19 Task Force and the Medical Team for being on top of their game. Together, we shall defeat Coronavirus,” he added.

WikkiTimes recalled that Plateau state had recorded its first index case barely two weeks ago and the infected person has been undergoing series of treatment before been tested negative.

The state has so far recorded 4 confirmed cases out of which one is discharged while 3 others are currently receiving treatment, with no dead record.
