CSOs Call For More Security Outposts In Kebbi Schools

The coalition of development Research and Project Center and Ford Foundation have asked Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State to establish more security outposts for schools outside the state capital.

Kebbi State in recent times has seen a rise in kidnapping and banditry where more than 50 students and a teacher from Federal Government College Brinin Yawuri were abducted.

Malam Ibrahim Ngaski, the spokesperson of the coalition said this in Birnin Kebbi while interacting with reporters.

He said the government must see the need to set up more security outposts for secondary schools in major Kebbi towns to ensure the safety of both students and their teachers for effective teaching and learning to take place.

Mr Ngaski urged the Kebbi State Government to fence schools to give them more protection from external aggressors.

Kebbi State, one of the frontline Northwestern states, come under attack at various points by bandits and criminals waging terror in the region.
