Dangote Industries Limited in partnership with the International Center For Investigative Reporting, ICIR, trained selected practising journalists from the South-East in business and economy investigative reporting.
Participants at the training were exposed to the intricacies of accountability reporting in the economy and business sectors to hold powerful companies to account.
Mr Okey Nwanko, General Manager Branding and Communication of Dangote Industries Limited said the training further cemented the existing ties between the company and Nigerian media.

He said the participants at the training drive home improved capacity and skills required to report the business and economy sectors of the Nigerian economy, especially in this digital age.
Mr Alfred Akerele, ICIR Programme Manager said the training was designed to empower journalists in the region with investigative reporting skills and expertise to report the business and economy for the overall benefit of the country.
He said the ICIR has a track record in training that gave increased intellectual, practical, and improved professional skills for media organisations and personnel.
