Dangote in Kano: Gov Yusuf Appeals for Sickle Cell Hospital, Projects Completion

As Africa’s richest person Alh. Aliko Dangote visited his home state of Kano Friday, the State governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has appealed to the business tycoon to construct a specialist hospital that tackles sickle cell conditions in the State.

Governor Yusuf also urged the President of Dangote Group to expedite the completion of intervention projects his foundation initiated at the Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital in Kano City.

WikkiTimes had earlier reported that Dangote Foundation had abandoned the construction of a modern maternity and pediatric unit, surgical and diagnostic unit as well as the accident and emergency section it had started in the Kano largest hospital a decade ago.

The governor and his cabinet received Aliko Dangote at the Government House, in his first visit to Kano since the ascension of Governor Yusuf’s administration.
