The Overseer Primary Health Centre in the Nasarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa State is in urgent need of government intervention as it lacks experienced staff and other prerequisites.
A survey conducted by Tracka, a not-for-profit organisation monitoring public projects across the country, reveals that the PHC not only lacks experienced staff but is also in a decaying state.

In place of the health workers are two volunteers who only come when they deem fit.
Tracka further shows that the health centre has only two rooms in the building with no toilet and medical equipment. In addition, the facility has no labour room for child delivery.
The organization called on the Nasarawa State government to revamp the facility to a befitting standard. It argues that the people of the community are in despair with no health facility.
It also expressed fear of possible outbreaks of water-borne diseases in the community as they had just experienced massive flooding recently.
