Desperation To Get Their Sins Forgiven Forcing Our Members To Join APC—Tambuwal

The Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party PDP Governors’ Forum, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State has revealed that some of his former colleagues who left the PDP for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) did so in order to have their sins forgiven.

Tambuwal who stated this during a dinner organized for the forum at the Bauchi state government house said that the decent members of the PDP can never be intimidated to joining the APC.

Tambuwal said APC has woefully failed Nigerians in its entire six years of being in power.

Represented by his Taraba State counterpart, Ishaku Darius Dickson, Tambuwal said that the APC which pledged to end Boko Haram insurgency within six months of inception has failed to do so in six years.

“So if you are a bad and corrupt man, you come over to APC where your sins are forgiven. We do not believe and agree in intimidation, we will remain in PDP, we will capture power, and we will change Nigeria, we will improve Nigeria”, he said.

Ishaku added that “those who said they were going to conquer, remove Boko Haram in six months, six years now they are still there, they cannot do it, it is getting worse, it is now several Bokos not one Boko Haram. It’s herdsmen Boko Haram, it’s everything, everything is happening”.

The Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum assured Nigerians that they are coming back to power in 2023 in order to salvage the country from the daunting challenges bedevilling the citizens.

“We will come and remove and make Nigeria what it should be, the pride of Africa. Nigeria is a big and beautiful country, very colourful, you can see the beautiful dances that pass through here, imagine if those things were happening when we are in absolute peace”, he maintained.

“I assure you we will do that again, give us the mandate, we are all coming back in 2023 and we assure you, this time for the reason, that in six months we will change the terrain, we will change the narrative, we will make Nigerians happy”, he reiterated.

“We have no hope but except in PDP, we will live in PDP, we will salvage whatever the country is left with when we regain power in 2023. If you look around, all the PDP states are the states where there is work ongoing, and I am sure I am speaking the minds of the majority of Nigerians.

While thanking Governor Bala Mohammed and the good people of Bauchi for hosting them, Tambuwal said they will hold their deliberations the next day (Monday), adding that it is being rotated from state to state.

Present at the dinner was Governor Diri of Bayelsa state, deputy Governor of Zamfara state and many top government functionaries.
