The Chairman of Borno State Board of Internal Revenue Service (BO-IRS), Mohammed Alkali, has said N18,739,031,387.28 was raised through internally generated revenues (IGR) collected in 2021.
Mohammed made this known to our correspondent in Maiduguri on Tuesday.
“This represents a year-on-year increase of 62 per cent over that of the year 2020 which was N11,593,000,000,” he said,
Daily Trust reports that the increase in IGR to the gradual restoration of peace after a decade long Boko Haram insurgency, thereby leading to an increase in the collection of various taxes and levies from markets and motor parks.
