Brazen terrorists, locally known as bandits have invaded Mararaban Liman Katagum, a suburb of Bauchi State, kidnapping a woman, Mama Habu, whose house is a few meters away from a military checkpoint.
Sources told WikkiTimes the bandits launched the attack in the early hours of Wednesday. The abducted woman owns a restaurant in the community.
During the invasion, the bandits also injured an 82-year-old man before whisking Mama Habu away. She was also battered and robbed at the point of her abduction.

A family source (name withheld) said the gunmen operated for over one hour and were unchallenged despite the proximity of the military checkpoint.
“They used a big stone to break the door, and spent more than an hour,” said the family source. “They collected a huge amount of money from her before dragging her to their vehicle.”
The source explained that the abductors have contacted the family for ransom but she declined to reveal the amount they demanded.
When WikkiTimes visited the victims’ residential house, the family members and sympathizers were still in a terrific mood as the victim’s restaurant remained closed.
