EFCC Boss Slumps At Villa

Abdulrasheed Bawa, Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has slumped at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa during a programme, a situation that makes officials of the State House rushed him out for urgent medical attention.

Mr. Bawa slumped while delivering his goodwill message at the National Identity Day celebration when he abruptly ceased to speak.

Daily Trust reports that the EFCC Chairman collapsed when narrating about a man the Commission arrested with 116 sim cards in Ibadan.

Bawa had stopped talking and covered his face with his right palm, saying, “Please, excuse me, I can’t continue.”

However, Bawa was helped to his seat by Dr. Isah Ali Ibrahim Pantami, Minister of Communications and other senior officials at the event, but the anti-graft gaffer could not sit and was immediately rushed out of the seat of power.

The Master of Ceremony, MC, later announced that Bawa’s condition was stable.

“I am happy to announce to you that the EFCC Chairman is now stable,” he said.
