The Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly Abubakar Y Suleiman has felicitated with Muslim Umma on this year’s Eid-el-fitr celebration.
In a goodwill message to the people of Bauchi State, the Speaker also congratulates Muslims Umma for the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fasting.
He commended the resilience and tenacity of the Muslims during the sacred month despite the numerous challenges bedeviling the entire world.
“This year’s Ramadan came when the world is being ravaged by the pandemic corona virus. The pandemic came with a lot of effects and consequences such as lockdown, restriction of movements among others, which made the fasting in the month unusual.
“This is coupled with harsh weather condition and dwindling economy. But Muslims endured all the challenges and fasted accordingly as obliged by Almighty Allah. This is commendable”, he said.
Abubakar Suleiman urged Muslim community to uphold all the values and teachings of the month of Ramadan, such as fervent worships and prayers, charity, love to one another, good conducts, being brothers’ keepers and total submission to the will of Allah.
While urging Muslim ummah not to relent in their prayers for the end of covid-19, the Speaker tasked them to continue respecting all the protocols of fighting the pandemic so that the State and the country will be rid of the disease.
The Speaker enjoined the people of Bauchi State to redouble their support to the present administration under the leadership of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammad so that dividends of democracy will continue flowing in all nook and crannies of Bauchi State.
