Eid-el-Kabir: FRSC Suleja Takes Campaign To Motor Parks

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) RS7.22 Suleja Unit Command in Niger has began the 2021 Eid-El-Kabir Sallah Special patrol Operations with a Public enlightenment Campaign and rally.

A statement by the Unit commander, Assistant Corps Commander (ACC) Mr Moses Odogiyon on Monday in Suleja, said that officers and men of the command had been mobilised to ensure hitch free sallah celebration.

Odogiyon said that the sensitisation had been taken to major parks within the city and its surrounding communities to create awareness on the need to exercise caution while driving during the festival period.

According to him, the officers visited a Mosque along old Minna garage as well as offices of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) and National Union Of Road Transport Workers (NURTW). “

This is where the message of “stay safe and stay alive to celebrate” was shared. “Staff from the Command spoke in both English and various other Local Languages to ensure the message of Road safety is understood by all and sundry. “

Posters containing  various pictorial messages such as the dangers of overloading, riding motorcycle without crash helmet were shared to help the public get enlightened. “

Posters on avoiding use phone while driving were used to drive home the message of safety and elicit road safety consciousness in the motoring public,” he said. (NAN)
