Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr Funmuniyi Afuye has congratulated the wife of the governor, Mrs Bisi Fayemi on her 57th birthday, describing her as kind-hearted.
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement signed by the speaker’s Special Adviser on Media, Tai Oguntayo and made available to newsmen on Thursday in Ado-Ekiti.
Afuye described Mrs Fayemi as a blessing to Ekiti in particular and mankind in general.
” Mrs Fayemi is not just a wife in Ekiti to us but also a kindhearted mother who is passionate about every man, woman, children and the less privileged in particular and humanity in general.
“I have found Bisi Fayemi to be high-end civil, kind-hearted, highly cerebral, bold and generous to a fault.
“Her ability to relate both with the ‘hoi polloi’ and the high and mighty in equal measures stands her out as special humankind,” the speaker said.
Afuye stated that there were two laws which emanated from the bills advocated by the wife of the governor, who was passionate about children and women.
He said the laws are, Ekiti Gender Based Violent (Prohibition) Law, 2019 passed on Oct., 14, 2019 and Ekiti Sexual Violence Against Children (Compulsory Treatment and Care) Law, 2020.Afuye prayed that God would give Mrs Fayemi long life to enjoy the fruit of her labour on the motherless and widows, whom she worked tirelessly to rescue from abuse and repression.(NAN)
