The Chairman of Keffi Local Government, Alhaji Abdulrahaman Maigoro has lost his polling Unit of Sabonlayi Ta Gabas 007 to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the State House of Assembly election.
Maigoro was elected as the Chairman of Keffi Local Government Council under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2018.
Announcing the result, the Returning Officer, Mr Paul Emmanuel, said that SDP State Assembly candidate got 511 votes to defeat the APC candidate that got 356 votes at the unit.
Emmanuel, however, said that APC governorship candidate got 789 vote to defeat People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate that polled 106 and SDP candidate who clinched 50 votes at the unit.
Sabon Layi Ta Gabas polling unit 007, has a total of 2,035 Registered Voters and was the largest polling unit in Goriya Wards in Keffi Local Government Area.
