Electricity has been restored in Kano, the commercial hub of northern Nigeria days after blackout that crippled businesses and social activities in the region.
WikkiTimes reports that light has been lit up in Dorayi area of Kano city around 9pm on Wednesday.
WikkiTimes also reports that Bauchi and Jos have been reconnected to the national grid after about 10 days of sustained darkness.
Recall that north western and north eastern states have been plunged into darkness following the tripping of the 330kV transmission line that connect the states to the national grid.
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) said they had been working hard to reconnect the affected states to the national power grid.
