Fifteen local government chairmen in Niger State were suspended by the Niger State House of Assembly on September 7, 2022, for allegedly mismanaging the capital project financing loans.
According to WikkiTimes’ findings, the suspended chairmen received funds along with their remaining 10 counterparts.
In a report presented to the house on Wednesday by the Ad-hoc committee to investigate the misappropriation, the suspension was necessary to enable the committee to discharge its legislative function without any hindrance.
