Fans Hail Coach Bura For Saving Wikki Tourists From Relegation

Fans of Wikki Tourists Football Club of Bauchi state have singled out the head coach of the club, Abdullah Bura for praise, for saving the club from relegation in the just concluded 2020 / 2021 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Some of the fans expressed their feelings in a chat with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday, in Bauchi,

A fan, Jerome Edward, Wikki FC,  said the coach deserved commendation for working assiduously to save the club from relegation.

“This season, the Tourists started on a bad footing, we lost at home and away and at a point we lost confidence in the whole team.

“The emergence of coach Bura saved the situation and repositioned the club for victory”,  Edward said.

Malam Sani Jahun, said in saving the club from demotion the coach had made the fans proud.

He added that before Bura commenced work, the club was in a state of collapse and fans were gripped with panic, but they had been relieved the moment the club escaped going down.

“In fact, he performed miraculously and worked hard to save Wikki Tourists”.

On his part, Aliyu Jika, another supporter, also commended the coach and the players for their efforts, urging the management to encourage them.

Meanwhile, Malam Abdullahi Ibrahim, Secretary, Wikki Tourists FC, has appreciated God for the grace of qualifying  for the next season.

He also commended the state government for its support and encouragement during their league matches at various locations across the country.

The secretary also lauded other stakeholders who had been encouraging the club, especially in its most challenging days.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Wikki Tourists FC beat Adamawa United 2-0 to maintain its 15th position with 45 points in 38 matches of the league, to escape relegation. (NAN)
