Fed Poly Bauchi To Have A Stable Power, Internet Connectivity – Rector

The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi Architect Sanusi Waziri Gumau has said that the polytechnic community will have a stable power supply and uninterrupted Internet connectivity before the end of his tenure. 

The Rector said this in an interview with WikkiTimes.

He said at the moment, all the necessary paper works for the power supply to the polytechnic have been completed. 

“By the time when I want to exit this place by February next year, I hope the polytechnic will have a steady power supply, we will have the departments and infrastructures will be improved to the standard so much such that we will not be lacking in terms of accreditations or both the degree programs, the HND, the National Diploma will not be lacking.

“A power company that came and any moment from now, they will be here and we will have a steady power supply,” he said. 

The Rector said that resources have been provided to ensure restoration and expansion of the Internet connectivity on the campus in line with global best practices. He said at the moment, the polytechnic is accessible online through its dedicated website, adding that all academic related and non-academic matters can be done online by both students and staff of the institution.

“The contract for the internet connectivity of the entire school had just been done. Their work had been done. So the internet connectivity will not be our problem now.

“With these types of equipment in our departments as a polytechnic,  in a real concept, even if we have less from Federal Government, we will be able to sustain ourselves and give our students the needed skills,” the Rector said.
